I have been designing for 42 years—a long time to absorb this crazy and wonderful business! I love my clients and have a great time creating their dream homes.
I do residential and commercial design. I have done quite a few restaurants over the years, which is always a challenge. I have worked in the Bay Area of California and have been in the San Diego area for eight years now. I do travel to other states when my clients want their vacation home redesigned.
The Design Challenge
This was a townhouse with no personality whatsoever! Painting the walls was not an option due to cost.
The Objective
To make the client smile every time she walks into the room.
The Lesson
Don’t be afraid of color! It is the universal language that all people recognize. I think we need to realize more the impact it has on our lives. While painting the walls would have enhanced the fabrics, the result was dramatic enough with the fabrics and the area rug.

Additionally, all of the above information and photos will be beautifully framed and on display in our Vista showroom for the entire month.

Here's how you can make it shine and be seen!
Simply email (or drop by) a photo of one of your favorite projects. It can be commercial or residential, dramatic or fun... or maybe a unique idea application or theme. Be sure to include a short project description.
Submissions must be received by the 25th of each month to be considered for the following month's DESIGN STAR spotlight.
